La Quinta, which is located on 160 hectares of undulating land just north of the AP-7 toll highway, is only ten minutes by car from Puerto Banús and fifteen minutes from the heart of Marbella. Many of the homes in the development have breathtaking views of the sea and golf course.
There is no easier way to go to La Quinta. It is accessible via the A-7/N340 coast route via the Ronda road or the AP-7 highway, via exit 172. The distance by car from Málaga-Costa del Sol International Airport is slightly over thirty minutes.

Over the last thirty years, La Quinta Golf and Spa Resort has grown into a master-planned community centered around the 27-hole La Quinta Golf and Country Club, designed by Manuel Piñero. The community offers a wide selection of new and resale apartments, townhouses, villas, and building plots, with sizes ranging from one to three bedrooms.
La Quinta Golf and Spa Resort has three nine-hole golf courses that were recently remodeled, so it has something to offer everyone. The 170-room, five-star The Westin La Quinta will open in March 2016 and will offer amenities such a spa, gym, paddle tennis courts, a kid's club and playground, restaurants, a golf academy, and a pro shop. The complex's clubhouse will also act as the community's focal point.

The closest options and best ones are the Club House Restaurant in the Westin Hotel and the Sunsa Restaurant. Two minutes' drive from the La Quinta Golf Course is the family-run El Gamonal Restaurant, which serves only the best traditional Andalusian-Mediterranean cuisine. Its specialties include baked and grilled seafood as well as roast pork. Of course, Marbella, which has three Michelin-starred restaurants, Puerto Banus, San Pedro, and neighboring Nueva Andalucia all have a wide selection of excellent restaurants that are within a 20-minute drive.
Private schools close by
The one at San Pedro de Alcantara is the nearest. Laude San Pedro International College (ages 3 to 18), Calpe School (ages 2 to 11), and St. George's School (children 3 to 8) are the options. Aloha College International School, one of the top private English-speaking schools in Spain, is located in Nueva Andalucia.

La Quinta is a part of the Benahavis municipality, which is a hiking enthusiast's paradise. The most notable hike is to the Holy Chestnut, and it begins at the Golf Club. Proceed towards the north until you reach a bridge, then turn left onto the lane. It is approximately 13km from here to the Holy Chestnut, which has a perimeter of around 13.5 meters. With an estimated age of between eight hundred and one thousand years, it is likely the oldest tree in the entire Sierra de las Nieves.
