When we think of Marbella and what it offers us, what do we think of?
What gives Marbella the distinction of glamour and luxury?
What high-class products and services does Marbella provide those of us privileged to reside or spend time here?
Somebody in the office suggested we take a quick coffee break and discuss what gives Marbella its glamour and luxury and where can we find the answers to these questions, to which we all thought "Good idea!". This is what we came up with.

Luxury Advertising Awards Gala
When you think of awards ceremonies, what do you think?
The glamorous ones such as The Oscars or The BAFTAs? Or ones that the men are more interested in perhaps; TV Sports Personality of the Year or Ballon d’Or? And for those hip and cool amongst us…younger.. the MTV Music Awards?
Well whatever springs to mind, it might not be the Luxury Advertising Awards ceremony in Marbella. Did you know there was such a thing?
We at TerraSur Homes didn’t until now!
The Luxury Advertising Awards is an annual ceremony that takes place at the Palacio de Congreso. Having recently completed its 6th year, this is an important event that has marked its place in Marbella’s Social calendar.
But how has this all come about?
The Spanish Luxury Association- Luxury Spain was founded as a non-profit organisation to promote and support Spanish luxury brands nationally and to catapult them into the worldwide market.
The brands include high-end jewellery, gastronomy, leisure and tourism, health and beauty.
Luxury Spain whose head office is in Barcelona, promotes these brands’ excellence and quality and by bringing them to the forefront creates alliances which only further add to their value and in turn pushes the Spanish market up the tier of luxury.
If we consider the huge creativity and talent Spain possesses, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be be rubbing shoulders with the likes of France and Italy in the luxury sector on an international scale.
Gastronomy alone is up there in luxury first place with its gourmet Iberian ham and at least 3 restaurants recognised internationally as being the best top 10 restaurants in the world.
So it seems apt that this initiative with its 18 members and 3 international sponsors not only highlights the brands themselves but also the advertising agencies that enable customer awareness of them through powerful communication and effective marketing on a global scale.
So what better way to recognise those advertising agencies than for glamorous Marbella to host the annual awards ceremonies.
The judges included honorary president of the Luxury Awards, Princess Béatrice D’Orléans
and vice presidents, the founders of Victorio & Lucchino.
There were so many categories awarding prizes to agencies and their advertising campaigns, too many to list, but here are just a few:
